Bethpage, NY—Bethpage Water District (BWD) Board of Commissioners William J. Ellinger, John R. Sullivan and Gary S. Bretton invite the Bethpage community to visit the BWD technology booth at the annual Bethpage Fair, Thursday through Saturday, August 13-15 from 6-11p.m. at the Bethpage Train Station. Residents can view, touch and ask questions about the new meters being installed in Bethpage homes and businesses, and residents can witness the high-tech water-use monitoring program “EyeOnWater.”
“We make it a priority to take advantage of every opportunity to educate our neighbors about the exciting new ways we are improving the community’s water service,” said William J. Ellinger, Chairman of the Bethpage Water District Board of Commissioners. “We encourage everyone to take advantage of this year’s booth to learn how their new water meters and the “EyeOnWater” digital system can help them keep track of their usage so they can conserve and save money on their water bills.”
Water industry experts from the Bethpage Water District will talk residents through how they can view and detect problems such as uncharacteristically high levels of water usage and even receive email notifications in the event of leaks via the new digital monitoring account. All water usage is recorded on the “EyeOnWater” system so residents can easily understand when and how they use the greatest amounts of water per day. This information can help the community determine how they can better conserve and save money on their bills.
