Please pardon the construction taking place in and around your neighborhood. The Bethpage Water District is currently installing a new transmission water main to allow water to be pumped from a new well, that the district has installed outside of the plume.
The transmission main has been strategically placed to better serve the community, in the best route to deliver water and serve the community. It will help create additional pressure within the water system and increase the district’s water capacity.
Notification to our residents is being done in the immediate area in the form of street signs and door tags. Each customer will receive a 24-hour notification should their service be impacted on the following day.
The area impacted is on and around Haypath Rd, from Tennis Court to Cindy Drive. It also includes CIndy Drive and South Park Drive. If you live on these roads or nearby, your service may be impacted briefly but you will be notified 24 hours prior. Work is due to begin on 3/24/14 with notifications beginning on 3/21/14. We apologize for any inconvenience this may incur.
