Your water does not come from any specific well or tank. There is a complex array of piping underground which is all linked together creating our distribution system. Any one well or tank can feed the distribution system from any direction in order to maintain adequate pressure.
If you visualize our town sitting on a giant pool of water, our wells are like straws pulling water from within that pool. When the system demand has been met, water continues to pump into the system to back fill the elevated water tanks. The heights of elevated water tanks supply the pressure in the system via gravity. The Grumman Road Tank does NOT get its water from the former Grumman property. It is filled through transmission mains linked to the distribution system.
